Bassline Digital, LLC is a full service video production company serving the Phoenix, Arizona valley since 2004. We provide full-service productions for clients requiring creating a video from concept through delivery. We also provide cinematography, editing, and directing services to other production companies to complete TV shows, commercials, feature films, and short films.
Webb Pickersgill studied music most of his life, concentrating on the electric bass guitar and eventually getting a Bachelors of Music Education degree from the University of Delaware. After working for almost 10 years as a network engineer and systems programmer, he decided to leave the corporate world to pursue his passion of film and video. In 2004 he started his company Bassline Digital, LLC to provide complete shoot-to-edit video services to corporate clients. In 2006 his short film Silhouette won the IFP/Phx 48 Hour Film Challenge, and the same film went on to win 1st place in the 2nd season of the TV show "Screen Wars." In 2007 he both bronze and silver Telly awards for his work on the Running on Empty Dreams film trailers. In 2008 he was hired to be the cinematographer and editor on the feature film which is now in distribution.
In 2008/2009 he produced three films for the IFP/Phx "Beat the Clock Challenge", all of which won first place. The first film Appetite for Justice, was created for the 48 hour film challenge, won 1st Place, Best Director (Webb Pickersgill) and best Technical Elements. The second film The Guilty, was produced for the 36 hour film challenge and directed by Joel Cranson, won 1st Place and best Technical Elements. The third film Following Suit was created for the 24 hour film challenge, won 1st Place, Best Director (Joel Cranson), and Best Actor (Kevin Herrmann). This was the first time that a single team has won 1st Place in all three IFP/Phx competitions back-to-back.
At the 9th annual Phoenix Film Festival, Webb was awarded the prestigious 2009 Arizona Filmmaker of the Year award, and later that year he received a 2009 Rocky Mountain Emmy award for cinematography.
Webb loves working full time as a Cinematographer/Editor in Phoenix, working on commercials, films, and corporate videos, and he currently teaches Digital Cinematography at The University of Advancing Technology in Phoenix.
