This powered subwoofer is perfect for your editing studio, when used to help mix/master audio for 5.1 surround sound. This speaker was used in a professional environment for about 4 years. Purchased for $395 new, asking $200.

More Details

(Excerpt from B&H Photo Website) The BX10s subwoofer from M-Audio offers a large amount of power in a compact package. The 10-inch driver is powered by a 240W amplifier to deliver a response all the way down to 20Hz. A perfect companion to the BX5a or BX8a speakers, the BX10s is ideal for home or project studios where space is at a premium, but an excellent bass response is needed to meet the increasing demands of modern audio. The subwoofer is fully video shielded for use near video monitors and offers both XLR and 1/4″ I/Os for connection with virtually any existing system.

Offering a user-defined crossover between 50 and 200Hz, the BX10s provides improved fidelity over using speakers by themselves, because each component only has to reproduce frequencies that it’s ideally suited for. A subwoofer bypass, controlled by the included foot pedal, is built-in so you can hear what your mix sounds like with and without a subwoofer, for the best in monitoring accuracy.

I a selling a Sony broadcast HD camera, model XDCam F330. It’s a fantastic camera that was used in a professional environment for approximately 3 1/2 years here in Arizona. I’m selling it because the majority of projects I shoot no longer require this camera. It’s a workhorse, this camera has been 100% reliable for me on every shoot! Reasons I love this camera: it uses reliable XDCam Discs (23GB optical media) that is re-writeable, and can be easily shelved for archival purposes. Easy workflow into FCP, and native XDCamHD Codec editing. And.. corporate clients immediately identify with the size of the body as a professional camera (compared to DSLR).

Paid $14,000. Asking $9,500.

Package Includes:

Upgraded threaded handle attachment. (Gives 9 screw taps for mounting accessories like a monitor)

Anton Bauer plate upgrade. (converts the native V-Mount battery system to A/B)

Porta-Brace camera bag w/leather-padded strap. (Great for travel, fits in airline overhead compartments well)

Porta-Brace Body Armor with built in rain slicker. (Great for in-the-field documentary work)

Detailed Specs

The monitor has 3 types of inputs: 3-wire BNC (Y,Pb,Pr) S-Video, and Composite Video BNC. When using the Composite or S-Video modes, you can manually switch the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 as needed. It also has a built in bar generator, and a blue-gun only mode… very handy for setting it up quickly in the field.

It can run off a V-Mount battery with the default battery mount, but also includes an Anton Bauer mount adapter ($100 value). Also includes the power adapter (which attaches to the 4-pin XLR connector).

The only cosmetic flaw I’ll mention is a slight scuff on the monitor, appx 1/4″ long. It’s *sooo* minor, I couldn’t even get a good picture of it.. but the description of the item would be incomplete without at least mentioning it. Trust me, you may have trouble finding it yourself, it’s that minor.

From the Manufacturer

“With the convergence of DSLR filmmaking, there are many essential tools that are needed to give the correct form factor for video. When shooting video on a DSLR camera, you must use the LCD screen and you must use manual focus. The combination of a very small screen, manual focus, and razor thin shallow depth-of-field makes it very challenging to focus. When shooting in both outdoor and indoor settings the sunlight and glares make it nearly impossible to see the LCD. Lastly, holding the camera out in front of you so that you can focus on the screen makes the camera unstable and shaky. With any camera, you want to bring it close to the body for stability. The first essential item to help with these challenges is a DSLR optical viewfinder.”

Series Synopsis

H.O.P.E is a new future based sci-fi drama tv series starring a cast of relative newcomers, it revolves around the adversity of the human spirit when pitted against an imposed life versus a naturally occuring one. Each episode follows a different character and the effects that such a world would have on the human mind. The controllers of this world will do what it takes to lead the characters down the perceivable right path. The question is the right path for whom.
