Our Post-Production Studio

Our post-production services can help you complete your project. We offer Editing services, Audio Mixing and mastering, Compositing, Color Correction, and Special FX, and last but not least, we have full DVD Authoring capabilities.

Editing System Flexibility

Our post-production studio has two editing systems, one Mac and one PC, giving us extraordinary flexibility when working with clients that may have specific software requirements. We can edit using:

• Apple Final Cut Pro 6.0.4 (Mac)
• Adobe Premiere Pro 3.0 (Mac)
• Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 (PC)

Rough Edit to Online Editing

We can help get your project rough-edited (aka. "the rough cut"), up to and including your online edit.

Color Correction

Primary color correction is a fundamental, but often overlooked step in the editing process. We make sure the color, contrast, and saturation are optimal for each shot. In some cases, you may shoot footage across multiple days, locations, and cameras that all need to be edited together in the same sequence. Color correction makes sure they all look as if they were all shot at the same time in the same place.

Rates: $950/day (10-hours), $650/half-day (5-hours), $150/hour (2-hour minimum)

What Does 5.1 Mean?

5.1 refers to the number of discreet audio channels that are output with your video. 5 main channels, and 1 subwoofer channel. In a standard setup, this includes your standard LEFT and RIGHT channels, a CENTER channel, a REAR LEFT and REAR RIGHT channel, and of course your LFE or subwoofer channel.

5.1 Surround Audio Mixing

Having your feature film project mixed in 5.1 surround sound makes your product more marketable to distributors. Depending on the audience that your final project will have, you may see benefits to 5.1 audio mixing.

Our Mackie BX8a reference studio monitor speakers are calibrated using an SPL meter, ensuring that the mix that you hear in our studio is exactly what you'll get on your delivery media.

Rates: $950/day (10-hours), $650/half-day (5-hours), $150/hour (2-hour minimum)

Special Effects

We use Adobe After Effects CS3 for all of our special effects and compositing jobs. Typical compositing and special effects shots include:

• Rotoscoping
• Motion tracking and object replacement
• Frame-by-frame retouching
• Secondary color correction
• 3D and multi layer CG element compositing

Rates: $950/day (10-hours), $650/half-day (5-hours), $150/hour (2-hour minimum)

DVD Authoring

Sometimes DVD authoring is as simple as compressing your final project down using Mpeg compression and making a DVD that starts playing as soon as it is loaded up.

Menus, Languages, Special Features

Other projects may require multiple menu systems, complexly integrated with multiple videos, in multiple languages and with subtitles. No matter how simple or complex your DVD authoring project is, we can ensure your DVD project shines.

DVD Masters

We can generate a DVD-R master of your project if you wish to have it duplicated. Or if you need CSS encryption we can work directly with your replication facility to create a DDP or CMF master file.
